The Eade String Quartet was founded in 2002 by Mary Eade and performs at venues throughout Devon and Cornwall, including concerts as part of Exeter University’s public concert series. The quartet’s varied repertoire ranges from the 18th to the 21st century, including works by Beethoven, Vaughan Williams and Debussy, and in 2005 they gave the world premiere of Patricio da Silva’s String Quartet. The quartet’s ambition is to take the elitism out of chamber music and to make it available to all. It is available to play for Music Societies and Festivals, and for educational work.
