Lympstone Entertainments

February 18, 2011 § Leave a comment

Lympstone Entertainments was founded in 2006 by Harland Walshaw and John Welton who believed that there was a thirst for good live entertainment in Lympstone, our East Devon village on the banks of the Exe with its tradition of fishing and farming. They felt that the audiences who flock to the popular amateur productions of the Lympstone Players would also welcome a programme of professional events in the village. Programmes include musical, dramatic, literary, serious and comic events.

La La Lympstone

February 18, 2011 § Leave a comment

Mixed-voice choir formed in September 2008 by Sam Abrahams, a semi-pro jazz singer. The ethos of the choir is simple: if you like singing and enjoy having a laugh then this choir is for you. Some members just drop in to get their ‘fix’ or to blow away the cobwebs. Whether it’s weekly, monthly or just when you can, you are always welcome. The repertoire is generally modern with many of Sam’s own arrangements for the group. There are no auditions but there is a requirement for a sense of humour.
